The situation

Peony & Phlox is a Colchester florist with a real eye for quality and a clear plan to grow. What they didn’t have was a way to show any of that. No website, no printed materials, no joined-up look — just beautiful flowers and an audience that couldn’t find them.

For floristry, that’s a problem. Brides, event planners and corporate clients buy confidence in the person arranging the flowers as much as the flowers themselves. Without a presence to back it up, Peony & Phlox were invisible to exactly the people they wanted to reach. They needed a brand that would stretch from a business card to a banner stand, and a website that actually turned visitors into enquiries.

What we did

Brand identity

We started with a workshop to pin down what Peony & Phlox stood for before sketching a single logo. Feminine without being fragile. Natural without being rustic. Confident without being cold. From there we built the brand — colour, type and tone in one system that holds together everywhere it appears.

Photography

We shot the studio’s work in natural light: arrangements, textures and floristry in progress. Good photography is the backbone of any creative business, and we wanted images that would carry the brand for years across the site, social and print. Stock would never have felt this real.

Website

The site was built on WordPress with Divi — clean, image-led and structured to show off the work while making it easy to get in touch. Every page sits within the brand, and the photography shot for the project gives it an authenticity you can feel.

Brochure and roller banner

For print we produced two pieces: an A4 landscape brochure for consultations, and a roller banner for wedding fairs and venue events across Essex and East Anglia. Both came from the same brand system, so Peony & Phlox could walk into any room and look the part instantly.

The result

Within weeks of launch, real enquiries were coming in through the new site. Their first venue partnership followed inside two months, with the banner and brochure playing their part. The brand gave them the confidence to approach corporate clients and wedding venues that had felt out of reach. For a business serving Colchester and the wider Essex area, the project finally gave them a presence to match the quality of their flowers.
