Signage · Colchester & Essex Your brand, on the street where you work

FROM SCREEN TO SHOPFRONT

Most agencies stop at the screen. We don't. Thinksay designs and manages signage production from concept through to installation — shop fascias, vehicle livery, wayfinding, exhibition graphics and everything in between. One designer, one brand vision, from logo to the sign above your door.

Logo and signage design for The Open Window Company — brand identity by Thinksay, Essex

Your brand, built to last outdoors

There's a reason your brand guidelines cover typefaces, colours and spacing — consistency builds trust. That same attention to detail should extend to the sign on your building, the graphics on your van, and the banner at your next trade show.

Because we design your brand and your signage, nothing gets lost in translation. The logo on your business card matches the sign above your door, the wrap on your vehicle, and the roller banner at your exhibition stand. No second-guessing colour references, no surprised looks when the installer arrives.

We work with trusted signage fabricators and vehicle wrapping specialists across Essex to manage the full process — design, specification, production and installation coordination. You deal with one person, not three.

Why signage belongs with your marketing agency

Most businesses commission signage separately from their branding. They send a logo file to a sign-maker, hope the colours match, and pray the kerning survives. The result is often a sign that looks nothing like the brand it's supposed to represent.

When your signage comes from the same person who designed your brand, the consistency is built in. We provide production-ready artwork to the fabricator, specify exact PMS colours and materials, and check proofs before anything gets made. It's the same approach we take to print — because signage is print. It's just bigger, outdoors, and bolted to a wall.

Common questions GOOD TO KNOW
Do you manufacture the signs yourselves?
No — we design and specify the signage, then manage production through our network of trusted fabricators and installers across Essex. This means you get professional design direction and trade pricing, without us pretending to be something we're not.
Can you match signage to our existing brand?
Absolutely. If we designed your brand, we already have everything we need. If you have existing brand guidelines from another designer, we'll work within them — and flag anything that won't translate well to signage materials.
What about planning permission for signs?
We'll advise you on whether your signage is likely to need planning consent. Most standard fascia signs in commercial areas don't, but projecting signs and illuminated signs often do. We can't submit planning applications, but we'll point you in the right direction.
Do you handle vehicle wraps?
Yes — we design vehicle livery and manage production with specialist wrap installers. From a simple logo and contact details to a full vehicle wrap, we'll make sure your fleet looks the part.
How does signage pricing work?
It depends on the type, size, materials and installation requirements. We'll provide a clear quote that covers design and production management. As a guide, a simple shop fascia sign with professional design and installation starts from around £800–£1,500.
